Toronto, ON (September 22, 2017) – Rural Southern Saskatchewan native and indie rock/alt-country artist Megan Nash’s anticipated new album “Seeker” is available everywhere today via acronym Records.  Coinciding with today’s album releaseNash announced that she will hit the road in Canada for a number of dates in Ontario and the Maritimes throughout the month of October.  Lyrically drawing from several recent life-changing experiences while venturing into new, anthemic sonic territory, “Seeker” vividly captures Nash’s creative evolution since 2015’s “Song Harvest Volume One”, and takes her personal, roots-based songwriting to bold new heights in the studio.
Produced with engineer Orion Paradis (Library Voices), at Soul Sound in Regina, Nash collaborated with ambient alt-rock unit Bears In Hazenmore on the albums 11 self-penned tracks and the result is brilliant.  In sharp contrast to the starkness of her previous album, Seeker takes Nash’s songwriting into confident new aural territory, displaying the undeniable chemistry she forged with the group over the past year and revealing the spirit of adventure that is prevalent throughout the entire album and on tracks like “Girl VS Ocean,” “Summer,” and “Lavender & Leather”.
With the freedom and talent to pursue any musical direction she sees fit, “Seeker” displays the full range of Nash’s talents as a songwriter, vocalist and producer – telling stories of love and loss; worry and hope, all through the eyes of a young woman growing up and living in Saskatchewan. Drawing comparisons to such giants as Neko Case and Stevie Nicks, Nash has garnered nationwide attention from many who say, “Nash has a powerful voice and an authoritative style – she’s a singer with much to say.” (CBC q Host Tom Power).
Nash’s first single with acronym Records “Bad Poetry” was released earlier this year.  Stream or download the track here.
